Donald Trump is the 45th and current president of the United states. He is a very controversial leader. Before he became president, he was a businessman and TV star. People who like him love him very much, but people who don’t like him hate him very much. However, Trump is actually a good president. Here’s why:

1. He doesn’t follow traditional rules

First of all, almost every president of the U.S. wants to keep a good relationship with the news media. This is because they want the news to say good things about them and keep their good reputation.

But that doesn’t apply to Donald Trump; Trump says what he wants to say. For example, if he sees a report that doesn’t please him, he will say that the news media is broadcasting fake news immediately and he will stop accepting questions. This makes him a good president because it makes the news conference more interesting and attracts a larger audience and makes people more aware of issues.

Secondly, he is against globalization. The famous example for this is that in 2017 he withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement. He did this because he thinks that the U.S. was not treated fairly compared to other countries like China. Trump wondered why China could create more pollution and also enjoy tariff deductions.

2. Trump encourages American and foreign companies to manufacture their products in the U.S.

The U.S. depends on many other countries to produce tons of products. That has caused a lot of American workers to lose their jobs.

Trump wants to grow the job market, so he encourages American companies to move production back to the U.S. He also wants to create job opportunities, so he has invited foreign companies to invest in the U.S.

For example, he invited and gave incentives to Taiwan’s Foxconn chairman, Terry Gou, to move his factories from China to the U.S. Although this didn’t really work out in the end, it still shows that Trump is encouraging others to manufacture their products in the U.S.

3. He reinforces U.S. military power around the globe

In order to keep the U.S.’s number one position, America needs a strong military to back it up. That’s why Trump has reinforced the military in the South China sea.

He did this to maintain freedom of navigation because in the past few years, the Chinese Communist regime has built military bases on some of the disputed islands on the South China Sea.

4. He broke the ice between the U.S. and North Korea

Although North Korea is still testing missiles, for a period of time it stopped. It stopped because Trump was willing to shake hands and meet the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un.

Even now, Trump and Kim still maintain a personal relationship. For example, last month, on March 21st, Trump wrote a letter to Kim Jong Un asking if they need any medical help with the coronavirus outbreak.

5. Trump is tough on terrorists

For a long period of time, Americans have been threatened and killed by terrorists. These include ISIS, the Taliban, and al Qaeda.

However, after Trump became president, terrorism decreased a lot because he worked to destroy them step by step. Trump’s actions include military operations to assassinate terrorist leaders and restricting Muslims from entering the U.S. People will say that it’s racism, but it is protecting the majority of U.S. citizens.
