1. Price

About four years ago, PS4 was priced at around $12,000NTD, including the console and a controller. On the other hand, Xbox was more expensive; it was priced at around $15,000NTD for the system, an Xbox One controller, and the Kinect. With that $3000NTD you could’ve bought more games. However, that was back then. Now both of them have evenly matched prices. In fact, the 1TB version of the Xbox currently costs roughly $8400NTD, which is cheaper than a PS4. Comparing the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X, the Xbox One X is more expensive, priced at $15,000NTD rather than the PS4 Pro’s $12,000NTD.

2. Gaming library

Both PS4 and Xbox have an enormous amount of games, but PS4 wins this one because of its exclusive offer of the biggest and highest-rated AAA titles of this generation. This doesn’t mean that Xbox has terrible games; it actually has better first party games. Still, most sports games are nicer on the Sony systems because they are more realistic. PS4 and Xbox are both great gaming devices but Sony’s system contains more hit games that you can only play on a console. Both of these consoles are built to have different advantages, so it’s personal preference that will help you choose on this category.

3. Hardware

Both PS4 and Xbox have very slim designs so that they look terrific and also modern. Also, because the consoles are so slim, they are very convenient to carry around. They both include a 500GB hard drive, and if you think that’s too little you can connect an external hard drive. PS4 owners have an option to choose to open up their consoles and exchange the hard drive into a 2.5 inch or a SATA drive. However, some games on Xbox can only get 900p quality while PS4 gets the full 1080p. When it comes to the premium versions, a lot of games play in native 4K. People with HDR ready TV’s should also consider High Dynamic Range support which has richer colors and better brightness. Games look stunning and perform equally on both consoles, but the stock PS4 offers better resolution for many titles.

5. User-friendliness

After years of updates, Xbox has finally moved away from being a messy system and lacking customization on the gaming menu to becoming highly customizable. Now players using Xbox can send gifts to their gaming friends. PS4 has an easy and astonishing menu for you to use, and you just can’t get over how terrific the controllers are from Sony. Both of the consoles can broadcast gameplay directly to Twitch, but only PS4 can broadcast it to YouTube. The PS4 takes home the win again because it has better options for sharing gameplay.
