Leonardo DiCaprio revealed he’s a fan of Euphoria, saying “I just saw Euphoria, which is amazing. That show is amazing.” Euphoria is an HBO teen drama written and created by Sam Levinson. The show has received positive reviews from critics and has won several awards and nominations.

The show is by far one of the best teen series people can ever watch. Viewers love it because the characters are relatable and it helps to shed light on what being a teenager is like for many people in 2021.

Plot: 4/5

Euphoria is a television series that follows a group of high school students through experiences with sex, drugs, love, identity, friendships, and trauma.

Every episode starts with the backstory of the main character, which further explains the childhood that shaped them and their core personality.

Rue, the main focus of the series, is a teenager that struggles with an addiction to drugs. She returned home from rehab and immediately went to buy more drugs from her dealer. Jules, Rue’s partner, is a transgender girl who is new in town. While their love is real, it is built on a foundation of friendship.

Cinematography: 5/5

The colors, lighting, and the smooth transition of the parts where characters are using drugs show the reality and the magical side of what using drugs feels like, which make this show a piece of art. Euphoria is not just a compilation of shots, it goes beyond that and has some of the best cinematography out today.

Enjoyability: 5/5

This show is relatable for teens, as it expresses all the issues through the experience of teenagers. Euphoria also focuses heavily on issues pertinent to the LGBTQ community, which is great to include because there are more people feeling comfortable coming out these days.

The show is inspiring, thrilling, thought-provoking, and mind-blowing. Watching this show is like experiencing a roller coaster; viewers can relate and emotions go up and down. Every episode can be read through several lenses and perspectives and that’s why this show is amazing.

Each cast member portrayed every character beautifully, including the narration from Rue. Rue is the narrator of the show, and she speaks honestly and brings out the realness of the show. Viewers can feel and relate to the emotions from the show.

Overall: 5/5

The cinematography, costumes, acting, writing, direction, set design, and soundtrack are phenomenal. The soundtrack from Euphoria is some of the best music in a television show, as each song matches its scene and fascinates viewers.

Euphoria does not shy away from topics that are controversial. The series features teen drug use, nudity, violence, and sex-heavy themes, and the sensitive content in this drama makes it feel real and believable. Though these scenes are shocking and will be hard to watch for people that are sensitive, this show has tremendous depth and meaning.

Euphoria is one of, if not the best, description of teenage drama I have ever seen. It’s an incredible show and no one should miss it.
